Andy Hurley
Senior Associate Athletics Director - Development

Andy Hurley joined UC in March 2006 to head the Athletics Development office. He came to UC after seven years at the University of Buffalo, serving as Assistant Athletics Director for the last three. He was named Director of Athletics Development beginning in September of 1998. In his position, he was responsible for all fund development activities for the Division of Athletics. Hurley joined UB after serving as Director of Marketing for Genesee Research and Development Corporation where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing and account management from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, he served as Director of Development for the New York Special Olympics from 1988 to 1995 and was the Executive Director of the Titan Athletic Foundation at Cal-State Fullerton in 1987-88. Hurley earned his bachelor's degree from UB in 1984 and starred on the football team at defensive back, earning ECAC and Pizza Hut All-America honors in 1984. He received his master's degree in sports administration from the University of Massachusetts in 1987. Hurley and his wife Jackie have four children, Alexa, Jenna, Ryan and Jacob.

  • At Cincinnati: Primary responsibilities centered on Major Gift prospecting and oversight of both the Director's Society and George D. Smith Society. Also serves as oversight for all Sport Specific Campaigns and the departments integrated technology platform.
  • Joined Staff: October 2006.
  • Previous Experience: Spent seven years as Director of Premium Sales for the Cincinnati Reds.
  • Background: BA in Communication, University of Dayton (1993); MA in Speech Communication, Miami University (1994).
