 Bearcats Caravan heads to Kilgour Festival The University of Cincinnati Athletic Department will be visiting the Kilgour Carnival this Saturday, May 19, 2012 as one of the first stop of the 2012 Bearcats Caravan Tour. The Athletics Marketing Team will be on site from 11:00am-5:00pm with the inflatable football toss and promotional items. There will also be a raffle drawing for 2 tickets to the September 15th UC football game versus Delaware State. Winners of the raffle need not be present to claim their prize. (more) Bearcat Friday: UC Alumni Association This week's Bearcat Friday Winner is the UC Alumni Association! The Bearcat took at trip downtown to Great American Ballpark last Friday night for the 4th Annual Bearcats at the Ballpark event. UC students, alumni, faculty, staff and fans were encouraged to come out to the game and watch the Cincinnati Reds take on the Washington Nationals. There was also a pre-game event at the Holy Grail with the opportunity for UC fans to win prizes. (more) Cincinnati Kids' Club Participates in Spring Fling at Gameworks The Cincinnati Kids' Club participated on Saturday in a fun, action packed "SPRING FLING" at GameWorks, Newport on the Levee. The event took place from noon-2 p.m. for Cincinnati Kids' club members and guests and involved many fun activities. Kids' club members and their families enjoyed cornhole, an hour long playing card in the game room, pizza and soda, a UC player autograph session and photo session with UC players and the Bearcat mascot. Several UC football and lacrosse players attended the event to sign autographs, play games with the Kids' Club members and take pictures with kids and the Bearcat mascot. (more) Bearcat Friday: Start Skydiving This week's Bearcat Friday Winner is Start Skydiving. The Bearcat mascot took a trip to Start Skydiving in Middletown on Friday, April 13 and decided to take his chances jumping out of a plane at nearly 13,000 feet. The mascot was greeted by John Hart II, DZ Owner, Coach and AFF Instructor, who encouraged him to skydive. The Bearcat watched the safety video, put on his harness and was given a short tutorial by the instructor on how to successful jump out of a plane. After exiting the plan at nearly 13,000 feet, the Bearcat experienced a 50 second free fall followed by a 4 minute canopy ride, arriving smoothing into the landing area. (more) Bearcats Caravan Celebrates Opening Day in Findlay Market Opening Day Parade The Bearcats Caravan kicked off the season with the Cincinnati Reds at the 93rd Annual Findlay Market Opening Day Parade on Thursday, April 5. (more) Student Activities Highlight the Week of Bearcat Bowl VI The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics is excited to announce a number of student initiatives surrounding the week of Bearcat Bowl VI, the annual Bearcats Football spring game. In an effort to connect with the entire campus, the Bearcats Football program will make this the most student-friendly environment that has occurred inside Nippert Stadium.
